Yesterday Ben and I were on the east side of town for a viewing of Retro Future, so we decided to have dinner at East Side Pies. As I might have mentioned, it’s so hot here right now. But I have a new appreciation for “hot” after walking in to East Side Pies, which is the size of a shoe box and filled with pizza ovens burning at 500°F. How do the guys who work there stand it? Does it make Austin summers seem breezy by comparison? Anyways, I’m thankful to them for their sweaty dedication because my slice was crispy and delicious.

Have you heard about the Austin W’s problems lately? Panes of glass fell from the upper stories, injuring some guests. The hotel and the sidewalks and roads surrounding it have been closed.
This isn’t the W, it’s the Frost Bank tower. From a distance, it reminds me of a Transformer.

Friday dress* time! Today I decided to wear my black vest over the dress, which always gives me a Han Solo vibe. The last time I owned a vest I wore regularly, I was in first grade. The vest was made wholly out of white lace.
I took the photo from a high angle so you could see my bright yellow shoes. True story: these are the shoes I wore on my wedding day. They got mixed reviews from the guests but I love them.
My hair has achieved triangularity, which pleases me.
